Chuck, no one could have said it better.  She was a special person and will be sorely missed.

I remember Janet as a absolute lady who  did not mind if some of her friends were from "down in the sticks", I really appreciated her. Joe Broce

Janet was a person that was kind and caring. I loved talking with her! I knew when we talked she was listening and always had such kind things to say. She will be missed at our reunions, but she will forever be in our memories. May the angles give you the love you gave use here on earth. 😢♥️❤️
Rest In Peace my sweet friend. Caudill

I agree 100% with my classmates who have already posted comments.  I always enjoyed being and talking with Janet.  She was genuinely kind, friendly, and caring.  A real gem.

It is uplifting to see these caring comments about Janet and to realize how widespread our respect for her is.   I have been sending them to her husband Mark and he is appreciative.

I was fortunate to be in touch with Janet even after BHS as our husbands were good friends.   She remained the gracious, self-deprecating and very smart and creative person we knew in high school.   She had an interesting and successful career in graphic design.  She and Mark took care of their mothers from their home in Montgomery AL, and after both mothers died Janet and Mark moved to Philadelphia, enjoying urban life in their downtown condo with their beloved dog.  She truly epitomized a philosophy of "enjoy every day" and contribute to the community around you.

Moments of connection like these make me grateful for social media, but I'm also glad we didn't have cell phones in high school!

All the best dear friends.
